Let’s Reflect On Our Beginnings
Echuca Moama Family Medical Practice, formally known as Nish Street, was founded in 1974.
EMFMP has undergone several expansions to continue to provide our patients with quality facilities and care.
Echuca Moama Family Medical Practice currently has 18 General Practioners consulting from our two practice locations.
We are committed to providing quality healthcare to the rural community in a professional, caring and compassionate manner.
EMFMP AIMS
Our aim at Echuca Moama Family Medical Practice is to maintain the feel of a local family practice, whilst continuing to provide quality primary healthcare to the rural community in a professional, caring and compassionate manner.
Our doctors at EMFMP are passionate about training the next generation of doctors. EMFMP is proud to be a training practice with a long history of involvement in General Practice training through mentoring medical students, junior doctors and Registrars (doctors finishing their specialisation in general practice).
Our General Practice Accreditation
Our general practice is AGPAL accredited – what does this mean?
AGPAL (Australian General Practice Accreditation Limited) accreditation means that our general practice is committed to a comprehensive program which involves:
Engaging our whole practice team to review our practice’s systems and processes
Opening our practice doors to allow a team of independent surveyors to assess how our practice operates
Assessment of our practice, and achievement of the nationally recognised Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP) Standards for general practices, that focus on health care quality and patient safety.
As a member of the community you may be surprised to learn that general practice accreditation is a voluntary process – which means not all practices undergo an independent on-site assessment on a regular basis.
Achievement of AGPAL accreditation reassures you that our doctors and practice team are committed to providing you with high quality health care in a safe environment.
