DR PETER NESBITT
MBBS FRACGP FACRRM DRACOG(ad)
Peter graduated from UNSW in 1988. After further training in Wollongong and 2 years in Zambia, he has been providing services in Echuca and Moama since 1995. He works as a VMO at Echuca Regional Health in General Medicine, Obstetrics, Emergency and Drug & Alcohol.
Clinical Interests: General medicine, paediatrics, emergency medicine, addiction medicine and teaching.
Hobbies: All health and fitness from Ironman to lawn bowls, involved in community through Church and sporting networks, enjoys spending time with wife Johanna and four children.
DR CLARE BOTTCHER
MBBS DA(UK) FRACGP DRACOG
Country girl raised on a dairy farm, and always wanted to
return to work in a Rural Community School in Cohuna and Echuca. Clare attained
her medical degree at Monash University. Worked previously as a Medical
Educator with the RTP for 13 years, and now supervises locally. Has been in
Echuca and Moama since 2000 providing services to the community.
Clinical Interests: Women’s Health, Paediatrics, Aged care, Acute
Hospital Work and Medical Education.
Hobbies: Cooking, Gardening, Trail Walking and staying fit, spending
time with family & friends.
DR CLAIRE GOODMAN
MBBS FRACGP DRANZCOG(Adv)
Originally from Bairnsdale, Claire began her medical career
in Echuca as an intern after graduating from The University of Melbourne in
2003. Claire relocated permanently in 2007 and completed her General Practice
training and Obstetric qualifications. Claire continues to provide medical,
emergency medicine and obstetric services to Echuca Regional Health.
Clinical Interests: Women’s Health including Obstetrics, General
Medicine and Children’s Health.
Hobbies: Busy mum of primary school aged children. Enjoys triathlon,
cycling and running, and volunteers for a disability support organisation.
DR SAMUEL KENNEDY
MBBS FRACGP DRANZCOG JCCA
Studied at Melbourne University and the Austin Hospital as
an undergraduate. Sam did his obstetric training at The Mercy, Anaesthetic
training at The Northern Hospital, GP training through VMA and Sports Medicine
training at Essendon Football Club.
Clinical Interests: Anaesthesia, general medicine, Initial
Emergency Care.
Hobbies: Triathlon, Ex-footballer, current AFL academy junior
coach and EFNC committee member and loves traveling
DR DEBORAH MARTIN
MBBS FRACGP FARGP DRANZCOG(Adv)
Deb has been working in Echuca since 2017 after gaining
experience in Bendigo, Wangaratta and Benalla in general practice and
obstetrics. Deb has gained her accreditation in breastfeeding and mother/baby
care in their first year of life.
Clinical Interests: Antenatal care, obstetrics, postnatal care,
breastfeeding, caring for mothers and babies, unsettled babies, infant sleep,
women’s health/menopause, paediatrics and learning/school difficulties in kids.
Hobbies: reading, gardening, and walking/hiking outdoors.
DR CAMERON TAVERNA

Cameron has been providing services to the community of
Echuca and Moama since 2012. Cameron studied medicine at the University of
Melbourne with a specialisation in Anaesthetics.
Clinical Interests: General Practice, Anaesthetics
Hobbies: Bike riding, walking with his dog

Chris has been providing services to the community of Echuca
and Moama for more than 6 years. Chris completed his medical degree at the
University of Melbourne including undergraduate clinical school at the Rural
Clinical Schools in Shepparton, Ballarat and Wangaratta. Chris also completed
his residency and internship in Bendigo.
Clinical Interests: General consulting
Hobbies: 3-D Design and 3-D printing, cooking and baking
DR DOMINIC KARUNANAYAKE
MBBS FRACGP ACEM(CERT)
Dominic has been providing services to regional Victoria for
more than 10 years. Dominic completed his certification in Emergency Medicine
and continues to provide medical and emergency medicine services to the
community of Echuca and Moama.
Clinical Interests: Musculoskeletal conditions, Emergency Medicine
Hobbies: Jogging, enjoying his leisure time by visiting regional
Victoria with lots of natural habitat
DR ERWIN WONG
MBBS DCH
Erwin has trained all over Melbourne and country Victoria
for the past several years. Erwin started working at EMFMP in February 2019 and
is enjoying getting involved in the community.
Clinical Interests: Preventative health, mental health and palliative
care.
Hobbies: basketball, board games, movies, and running.

JANE QUALMANN
CREDENTIALED DIABETES EDUCATOR/ PRACTICE NURSE
Jane graduated in 1984 and she has specialised in critical
care and coronary care. Jane moved to Northern Territory as a remote area
nurse, followed by specialising in chronic disease management. Jane did her post graduation
in Nephrology and worked in remote & metropolitan areas of Central
Australia in various roles. Jane did her diabetes care specialisation in
Adelaide. Jane’s post-graduation specialisation is also in oncology and theatre.
After this, Jane came to Echuca in 2016 for a river change. Now, she works in
Echuca Regional Health, Echuca Moama Family Medical Practice and Kyabram
District Health.
Hobbies: Playing golf, Kayaking and renovating her construction

Zoe has a decade of experience working within the health
care sector including aged care and the local hospital.
Hobbies: Gardening, renovating and spending time with her children

Annalesa has been in Echuca since 2020. Annalesa became a nurse in
2019 and has worked at Echuca Regional Hospital for four years.
Interests: Spends her weekends playing netball & socialising with friend & family
TANIA MITCHELL
PODIATRIST
Tania Mitchell graduated in Podiatry from La-Trobe
University Melbourne in 1995 . Following completion of her studies, Tania
established the first public podiatry service at Northern District Community
Health servicing remote and rural communities. After five years of public
health Tania established a thriving private practice, Rich River Podiatry.
Tania is a member of the Australian Podiatry Association and a member of the
Australasian Academy of Podiatric Sports Medicine -AAPSM and values continuing
professional learning development.
Interests: Outside work Tania and her husband love spending time with
their three children and chasing their pursuits. In her spare time she enjoys
canoeing, tennis and trekking.
CAROLYN THOMPSON
PSYCHOLOGIST
Carolyn has worked with individuals and couples to assess
and treat a broad range of presenting problems such as grief and loss, anxiety
and depression, trauma, stress, transitions, interpersonal conflict, anger and
behavioural issues. Carolyn utilises a number of evidenced-based therapeutic
techniques including but not limited to Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT),
Interpersonal Psychotherapy, Motivational Interviewing, Person-Centred
Solution-Focused Therapies and Mindfulness.
Interests: Carolyn has a keen interest in mental health issues
relating to pregnancy and early parenthood, adult trauma, and individual and
couples work.
